TaxCast Offer for free use by radio stations

The TaxJusticeNetwork TJN is an independent organization launched in the British Houses of Parliament in March 2003. It is dedicated to high-level research, analysis and advocacy in the field of tax and regulation. We work to map, analyze and explain the role of taxation and the harmful impacts of tax evasion, tax avoidance, tax competition and tax havens. Our objective is to encourage reform at the global and national levels.

The TaxJustice Network offers a so called TaxCast, a monthly podcast which is an entertaining and eye-opening 15 minutes of news and analysis of global events in the area of tax evasion, tax avoidance and the shadow banking system, which are challenging problems for developing as well as developt countries in their efforts to reach sustainable development, why it is very important to raise awareness on these issues. The TaxCast is based on research by economists, some of them former tax haven insiders and consists of three elements: headlines, analysis conversation with economist Richard Murphy (Tax Research UK and The Courageous State) and a mini-documentary.

Since it began in January this year it's now being downloaded in more than 60 countries and aired by various radio stations throughout the world.

The TaxJusticeNetwork wants to offer the TaxCast to all interested radio stations that would like to help us spreading the important news in this field. Especially community radio stations worldwide are our main addressees due to being widely independent and having a strong focus to bring relevant topics that harm our communities on the agenda.

The current TaxCasts can be found under the following link.
